Extra Curricular Activities
Our Vegetable Garden and Cooking program is designed to provide students with hands-on experiences in growing and preparing fresh, healthy food. This program encourages independence, life skills, and sensory exploration. With support from our Speech Pathologists and Occupational Therapists students engage in using adaptive cooking equipment to develop independence in the kitchen while being supported to trial new foods and develop their communication skills.
Our Student Representative Committee (SRC) gives students a voice in their school life and decision-making. Through regular meetings and activities, SRC members represent their peers, share ideas, and help lead school events and initiatives. It’s a great way for students to develop leadership skills, build confidence, and make a positive impact in our school community.
Through our Community access programs students have the opportunity to develop real-world skills by engaging in activities beyond the classroom such as visiting local shops, parks, and public spaces. These experiences support social development, independence, and help build a stronger connection to their community.
Excursions are an important part of learning, offering students the chance to explore new environments and connect classroom learning to the real world. All our excursions are thoughtfully planned to be inclusive and tailored to meet the diverse needs of our students, ensuring every child can participate, engage, and thrive in these valuable experiences.
