Team Around the Learner

At Belmore School we work cohesively as a team to support all students and their families. Our model of practice is implemented through a collaborative approach known as The Team Around The Learner. We believe that through working collectively as a committed multi-disciplinary professional team alongside our parents and carers, we are able to optimise each student’s learning outcomes.

Our multi-disciplinary team at Belmore School consists of teachers, therapists, education support staff, nurses, school leadership, families and external private providers. All members of The Team Around The Learner play an important role in supporting each student to enhance their learning development, engagement and wellbeing opportunities.

Through embedding our collaborative Team Around The Learner practice, Belmore School promotes an integrated approach between education and therapy. All members of The Team Around the Learner contribute to development of each student’s Individual Education Plan, placing focus on supporting access and participation in all educational programs.
