Friends of Belmore
Our Friends of Belmore is a parent led community organisation with two important goals:
- To provide support for Belmore School through fundraising initiatives and assistance at school events
- To provide a platform for parents to meet with other like-minded parents to socialise, share information, provide support and in many circumstances to develop lifelong friendships
Our Friends of Belmore meet regularly or as required to plan special events or fundraising initiatives, to work alongside school staff to provide support, to attend information sessions or to meet for a coffee and a chat.
If you are interested in joining Friends of Belmore or supporting any of their initiatives please contact the Amanda White – Principal via phone: 9859 8762 or email: belmore.sch@education.vic.gov.au

Volunteers
Belmore School is extremely grateful to receive support from a highly dedicated team of volunteers. Our volunteers come from all walks of life within the community and generously donate their time to assist our wonderful students and staff.
Our volunteers assist our students to participate and engage in their wide range of educational programs, extra-curricular activities and school excursions. Volunteers are invited to nominate a regular day or time that works mutually with the school or identify a particular skill or interest they would like to utilise in their voluntary support, including but not limited to aquatics, music, visual arts or preparation of student resources.
Belmore School welcomes volunteers throughout the year and provides information sessions in Terms 2 and 3. Prior to commencing any voluntary work, all volunteers participate in a comprehensive orientation program detailing disability awareness, manual handling training and school operations to ensure a complete understanding in best practice to successfully engage with and support our students is provided.
For more information on volunteering at Belmore School please contact our school via phone 9859 8762 or email belmore.sch@education.vic.gov.au
Please be aware that all volunteers, including parent volunteers, are required to hold a current Victorian Working With Children Check. Information on how to obtain a Working With Children Check can be accessed via the Working with Children in Victoria website: https://www.workingwithchildren.vic.gov.au/
